Axis Bank cheques are 202 x 93 mm with boxed date digits, per the CTS-2010 standard. ChequeMaster ships the Axis layout, so setup is choosing it and entering your cheque numbers.
From install to first cheque
- Settings: lakh for amount in words, 2 decimal digits.
- Add a bank account under Axis Bank.
- Create a cheque book with the Axis layout, entering the first cheque number and the leaf count.
- Print one to plain A4 and compare against a real leaf.
Diagnosing a cheque that prints out of position
This is where most setup time goes, so it is worth being systematic. Read the test print and match it to one of three cases:

Only the first is a settings change. The third cannot be fixed in software at all — a printer that grips the leaf inconsistently will produce a different result on every cheque, and no margin value averages that out.
Rupee conventions
Two decimals, lakh wording, DD/MM/YYYY. Leave thousand separators on — ₹12,50,000 is markedly harder to misread than 1250000, and the grouping follows the Indian convention rather than splitting in threes.
Other large private banks
HDFC, ICICI and Kotak Mahindra work identically — same paper, same standard, their own layouts.
