What it is

ChequeMaster fills in the blanks on the cheque leaves your bank issued — payee, amount, date — positioned to match your specific bank's cheque, and keeps a record of every cheque you print. It runs on your own Windows PC.

It does not create cheques, generate cheque numbers or print MICR lines. In India and the Gulf, cheques are issued by banks on controlled numbered stock, and that is the stock you print onto.

Why it exists

Writing cheques by hand produces a specific set of avoidable errors: the amount in words disagreeing with the figures, handwriting a bank cannot read confidently, an empty tail after the amount where a word can be added. Those are the technical reasons cheques get returned, and they are all fixable by printing.

The second reason is the record. A cheque book stub tells you very little a month later. A searchable history of what was issued, to whom, for how much, and whether it cleared, is what makes reconciliation and positive pay declarations practical.

Who builds it

ChequeMaster is operated by Anilkumar Chandrakant Suthar, an individual proprietor based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is not an incorporated company — a small operation rather than a large vendor, which is worth knowing when you choose a supplier.

What that means in practice: support comes from the person who builds the software, and feature requests reach them directly. It also means there is no local office in the Gulf and no phone support.

What we support

  • 105 bank cheque layouts across 19 countries, pre-loaded — including 37 Indian banks and 30 across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
  • Indian co-operative banks — Saraswat, Cosmos, Surat People's, Kalupur, Nutan Nagarik and others that are often missing elsewhere.
  • Three-decimal currencies for the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars and the Omani rial, which two-decimal software cannot state correctly.
  • Any cheque we do not ship — the layout designer builds one from a scan.

What we do not do

Stated plainly, because finding out after buying is worse:

  • Windows only. No macOS or Linux build.
  • One PC per licence. Three people printing cheques means three licences.
  • No accounting integration. No Tally, QuickBooks or Zoho connection. Payees import and export as CSV.
  • No Arabic cheque printing. English, Hindi and Gujarati only. Gulf cheque stationery is bilingual and businesses there fill it in in English.
  • No cloud access. Records live on the machine you installed on.

Your data stays on your computer

Cheque records, payees and bank accounts are stored in a database on your own PC and are never uploaded to us. We hold your account and order details for the licence itself, and nothing about the cheques you print — see the privacy policy.

The trade-off is that backups are yours to run. If the PC fails without one, we cannot restore the records because we never had them.

Support

Email, WhatsApp and live chat. WhatsApp is usually fastest — normally a reply within a day. Phone support is not available. Six months of support and updates are included with a licence, and the software keeps working indefinitely afterwards.

There is a knowledge base covering setup, printing, cheque layouts, bank formats and troubleshooting, with video walkthroughs for the main tasks.
