Kotak Mahindra Bank cheques are 202 x 93 mm with boxed date digits — the CTS-2010 standard. ChequeMaster includes the Kotak layout ready to use.
Setting up Kotak Mahindra Bank in ChequeMaster
- Settings: amount in words lakh, decimals 2.
- Add a bank account under Kotak Mahindra Bank.
- Create a cheque book with the Kotak layout and the number range from the physical book.
- Test on plain paper, checking the date boxes first.
Account tiers and cheque designs
Kotak issues several account products, and premium tiers sometimes come with their own cheque styling. The CTS-2010 paper size does not change, so if your cheque looks different from what the standard layout produces, the fix is a layout adjustment rather than a different paper size.
You have two options:
- Adjust the existing layout — usually a matter of nudging one or two fields.
- Build a new layout from a scan of your own cheque, which is the more reliable route if several fields differ. See creating a cheque layout.
Either way, keep the width and height at 202 x 93 — that part is fixed by the standard, and changing it will throw every field position out at once.
Before your first real cheque
Print to plain A4 and hold it against a genuine leaf up to a light. Check the date boxes, confirm nothing lands on the MICR band at the bottom edge, and verify the amount in words reads in lakh. Five minutes here is cheaper than a spoiled cheque book.
