ChequeMaster is a Windows desktop program, so the first step is getting the installer onto your PC. Head to the download page and the file starts on its own after a couple of seconds. If it does not, the Download Now button on that page starts it manually.

You do not need an account, an email address or a card to download. Registration only comes into play when you buy a licence.

What you actually get

The download is a single .zip file. Windows will usually put it in your Downloads folder. Right-click it and choose Extract All, then open the extracted folder — inside is ChequeMaster Setup.exe, which is the actual installer.

Do not try to run the setup from inside the ZIP without extracting it first. Windows can open the archive for viewing, but installers launched from inside a compressed folder often fail partway through with unhelpful errors.

Before you download

  • Windows 10 or newer. There is no macOS or Linux build.
  • Roughly 100 MB free for the download and extraction.
  • The file is scanned for malware before publishing. Some browsers still warn about any .exe they have not seen often — that warning is about download frequency, not about the file being unsafe.

If the download will not start

Almost every failed download comes down to one of three things:

  • A corporate network or proxy blocking executables. Common in offices. Try from a home connection or ask IT to allow it.
  • Antivirus intercepting the file. Check the antivirus quarantine before assuming the download failed.
  • A partial download. If extraction complains the archive is corrupt, the file did not finish. Delete it and download again rather than trying to repair it.

Still stuck? Send us a message with your Windows version and which browser you tried, and we will get you a working file.

Once you have the ZIP, carry on to installing ChequeMaster.
