Decide what you want the bearer line to say
A bearer cheque is payable to whoever presents it — which is convenient and also the reason a lost bearer cheque is a genuine problem. Because the field is enabled on this layout, decide deliberately rather than by default:
- Issuing to named suppliers or staff? Set the cheque book's Bearer Text to strike out or suppress the bearer wording, and use the crossing instead. See crossed cheques.
- Genuinely need bearer cheques? Set the wording once on the cheque book and it applies to every cheque in it.
Either way it is a per-book default you can override on an individual cheque.
Omani rial: three decimals
Set decimal digits to 3 in Settings. The rial has 1,000 baisa, and the software's default of 2 will silently round your amounts.
