The dinar setting comes first
Set decimal digits to 3 in Settings. The Kuwaiti dinar is divided into 1,000 fils, and at the default of 2 an amount such as KWD 3.125 prints as 3.13 — rounded, and wrong.
Because the decimal setting is global rather than per book, check it whenever you switch between Kuwaiti cheques and any two-decimal market. Getting this backwards is the most consequential mistake available in the Kuwaiti setup, and it is a thirty-second fix.
Room to work with
At 202 x 93 there is more space than on the 178 x 89 cheques used by KFH and Al Ahli, which helps with three-decimal amounts — the figures field has room for the extra digit without crowding. If you have been printing on a smaller Kuwaiti cheque and moving to Boubyan, you can probably raise the font size a step.
From install to first cheque
- Decimals to 3.
- Account under Boubyan Bank.
- Cheque book with the Boubyan layout.
- Test on plain A4. If you already print NBK or Warba cheques, your margins should carry over.
