Banque Saudi Fransi prints at 204 x 90 mm. So does Alinma. If you bank with both, the cheques are the same size and the layouts are not interchangeable — this is the single most likely way to produce a wrong cheque in the Saudi set.

Name your cheque books clearly

This is the practical defence against the Alinma mix-up. When you create the cheque book, name it with the bank in the title — "Saudi Fransi Current 4471–4520" rather than "Book 2". You choose from that list on every print, and a bank name in the label makes the wrong choice obvious before the paper moves.

Getting it printing

  1. Add the account under Banque Saudi Fransi.
  2. Create the cheque book with the Banque Saudi Fransi layout.
  3. Test on plain A4, holding it against a real leaf up to a light.
