Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait's cheque is 178 x 89 mm — identical in size to Kuwait Finance House's. If you hold both, the leaves are the same size and the layouts are not interchangeable.

Telling two same-size layouts apart

The reliable defence is naming. When you create the cheque book, put the bank in the name — "ABK Current 8801–8850", not "Kuwait book". You pick from that list on every print, and a bank name makes a wrong selection visible before the paper moves.

If a cheque does come out with fields in the wrong places while the paper size is clearly right, a swapped layout is the first thing to check, ahead of margins.

Three decimals for the dinar

Set decimal digits to 3 in Settings. KWD has 1,000 fils. This applies to all Kuwaiti banks and also to Bahrain and Oman.

Configuring the cheque book

Decimals to 3, add the account under Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, create the cheque book with its own layout, name it clearly, and test on plain paper.
